MR. INNOCENT MARCUS HALIGAH
Mr. Innocent Marcus Haligah is the Chief Director of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR). In this role, he provides strategic direction, oversees policy implementation, and ensures effective coordination across the Ministry’s departments, agencies, and inter-ministerial partnerships. He brings to this position over 25 years of distinguished public service and a career defined by principled leadership, institutional integrity, and a consistent record of delivery.
Mr. Haligah’s professional journey is rooted in local governance, where he served as Coordinating Director across multiple Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana’s Western Region, including the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Effia-Kwesimintsim, Ahanta West, Amenfi West, Tarkwa Nsuaem, and Ellembelle District Assemblies.
He holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana, Legon (2008), a Diploma in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, GIMPA (2006), and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Resource Development, also from the University of Ghana (1998). He is an alumnus of Mawuli Senior High School (Haviwo), Ho, and a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants – Ghana (CIAMC).
