Lands Ministry Receives Protective Jackets for NAIMOS

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Honourable Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has received a donation of 30 fragmentation jackets from a Ghanaian resident in Kentucky, USA, Mr. Shaibu Abdel Razak, to support the operations of the Natural Resources Management and Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) in its efforts to protect Ghana’s natural resources and combat illegal mining.

The protective jackets, which can be fitted with metal plates for enhanced safety, were presented to the Minister on June 15, 2026, in Accra.

Receiving the donation, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah commended Mr. Razak for his patriotism and commitment to Ghana’s environmental protection agenda.

He noted that the gesture reflects the confidence and support of Ghanaians in the diaspora who are encouraged by the Government’s efforts to restore degraded lands and safeguard the country’s natural resources.

The Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, stating that the donation would enhance the safety and operational effectiveness of NAIMOS personnel as they carry out their mandate.

He further called on Ghanaians, both at home and abroad, to support national development initiatives and contribute to environmental conservation efforts.
