Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC)

Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC) was established through an Act of Parliament, 2018 (Act 976) to promote and develop a globally competitive integrated aluminium industry in Ghana.

GIADEC is the holding company for all Government investments and interests in the Integrated Aluminium Industry. This includes two existing companies – VALCO & Ghana Bauxite Company, and the mining rights to Ghana’s bauxite reserves.

Mandate:  Develop and promote an Integrated Aluminium Industry in Ghana. This will involve expanding existing operations in bauxite mining and aluminium smelting, as well as introducing alumina refining to the country.

Mission:  promote and develop a fully Integrated Aluminium Industry in Ghana.

Vision: Be the leading Integrated Aluminium Company in Africa, creating sustainable value for our stakeholders and differentiated by cost effective and safe environmentally sound operations.
