The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana , H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, paid a farewell call on the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources as she prepares to conclude her diplomatic assignment in the country.
The visit provided an opportunity for the High Commissioner to express her appreciation for the strong partnership and cooperation that has existed between Australia and Ghana, particularly in the areas of mining, natural resource governance and sustainable development.
She commended the Ministry for its commitment to promoting responsible resource management and wished the Minister and the people of Ghana continued success.
In his remarks, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, thanked the High Commissioner for her dedicated service and the cordial relationship fostered during her tenure. He acknowledged Australia’s valuable support and contribution to Ghana’s mining and natural resources sector, noting that the collaboration had strengthened bilateral ties and facilitated the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
The Minister wished the High Commissioner every success in her future endeavours and expressed confidence that the longstanding partnership between Ghana and Australia would continue to flourish for the mutual benefit of both countries.
