The Civil Service Council has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources on Wednesday 13th May, 2026 to assess the Ministry’s work and ongoing reforms.

The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Council, Dr. Lawrence Kannae and the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darko.

During the meeting, officials of the Ministry made a presentation on the sector’s key achievements, challenges and reforms. The presentation also highlighted the Ministry’s role in supporting the government’s 24-hour economy agenda.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darko described the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources as one of the finest institutions the team has visited so far, citing its high level of organisation and coordination.

“The Ministry is one of the finest institutions we have visited in terms of organisation,” he stated.

The Head of Service commended the Ministry for the work done so far, especially in advancing reforms and managing the country’s natural resources.

He also encouraged the Ministry to explore additional measures in the fight against illegal mining.

The Chairman of the Civil Service Council, Dr. Lawrence Kannae, reminded staff to uphold the core values of the Civil Service, particularly discipline and punctuality in the discharge of their duties.

The visit forms part of the Council’s official engagements with public institutions aimed at strengthening the Civil Service and promoting effective public sector administration.
