The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh has on 14th January, 2020 inaugurated the Board of Directors of the Ghana School of Surveying and Mapping.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Conference Room of the Ministry.
In his inaugural address, the Minister noted that the existence of a Governing Board was an essential structure required of any credible institution to ensure good governance.
The Board, according to the Minister, is expected to bring their individual and collective experience and expertise to bear on further development of the School.
He assured the Board of the Ministry’s support towards the infrastructural challenges faced by the School.
He also expressed his profound gratitude to Members of the outgoing Board for their enormous contribution towards the development of the School.
The Board Members include Mr James Dadson TDL (MLNR), Mr. Jones Ofori-Boadu of the Lands Commission, Mr. Yaw Aboagye-Kyei of the Survey and Mapping Division Of Lands Commission and Mr. Daniel Adomako Agyemfrah- Principal of GGSM. The rest are Dr. Anthony Arku-Adjei of the Geomatic Engineering Dept. Of KNUST, Mr. J.C. Acquaah of Ghana Institution of Surveyors and Student Representative Council of GGSM, Mr. Richard Kwaku Baah.
