Hon. Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources is a lawyer by profession.

She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). 

Hon. Serwaa has a Barrister of Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law in 2008 and was called to the Bar in 2010. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Law of the Sea from the Rhodes Academy, Greece.

Prior to her appointment as Deputy Minister in January 2013, Hon. Serwaa was a Private Legal Practitioner at the Law Trust Company from 2010 – 2013.

She also worked as a Traffic Manager for ASHH FM and KES FM, Local Radio stations based in Kumasi in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

Hon. Serwaa Asamoah served as a Teaching Assistant at KNUST and also taught English and Literature in English at St. Jerome Secondary School, Abofour between 1999 –2000. She was also a Secretary to the Abofour Town Council.

Hon Serwaa was born on 18th December, 1974 at Offinso in the Ashanti Region and is blessed with a daughter.
